The Role

We are looking for a Software Engineer based in the Isle of Man:

• To deliver secure, resilient, well architected technical solutions to support and meet Group objectives.
• To support and maintain Azure based full-stack and integration-tier Java and SQL applications.
• To implement unit and integration tests to ensure code is fit for purpose.
• To ensure controls and risk management processes are followed.
• To liaise with other departments to determine and address their IT needs and requirements.
• To provide timely and accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Building and designing systems to support strategic aims for the Group’s objectives.
• Maintenance and availability of applications and systems to support the Group.
• Updating and creation of documentation and standards.
• Adherence to processes, controls and risk management.
• Effective planning, estimating and execution of development tasks.
• Quality of software and systems developed (deliveries, code and documentation).
• Timely and accurate reporting of activities, priorities and escalation where required.
• Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure their IT needs are met.
• Consulting and advising project teams.
