Hansard Europe Limited is the focus for our European life assurance activities. The company is based in Dublin, Ireland, a location that gives us, and you, a significant benefit - the passport to many millions of potential clients.
Hansard Europe is a member of the Irish Insurance Federation (IIF) and is regulated by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority (IFR). As a result of the European Union (EU) decision to facilitate the pan-European delivery of financial services from a single EU supervisory location, Hansard Europe is a European 'Freedom of Services' life assurance company. This enables us to operate cross-border, providing a range of highly tax-efficient generic and market-specific products.
Tax-free growth
In most circumstances, Hansard Europe policyholders' funds are not liable to Irish income, capital gains or corporation tax. As a result, policies grow virtually tax-free. Although some EU countries impose a tax on the benefits at maturity, we have designed products that conform to local tax laws, so the proceeds of these policies may be entirely tax-free on maturity.
